Dad had to go to the hospital a couple days ago due to some pain he had in his stomach. The Doctors had to run a bunch of test to find out what was going on with him. Apparently he had a big gallstone that has blocked the exit of the gallbladder and made things back up. The problem was, that the pain has subsided as the stone had moved and he no longer has the symptoms. After performing more test, they decided it was in fact the Gallbladder. They took him into surgery and removed it with 3 separate small incisions in about 2 hours.
Once the surgery was done, the put him in recovery and found that he had to much Lactic Acid, and had to work to get that down before they would let him go home. He also had some electrolytes and other fluid balances out of whack, that they also had to get corrected before letting him go home. In all it took 2 days before they would release him to go home.
He is feeling a lot better now, still in a little pain from the surgery, but otherwise doing great.
